Directions for HeatnBond Ultrahold Sheets and Value Packs

NOTE: Before using HeatnBond UltraHold, always PRE-WASH all materials WITHOUT using fabric softeners (in washer or dryer). Always pre-test adhesive on an extra piece of material.

1. Pre-heat iron to low heat setting without steam.  Place adhesive, paper side up on the back (or wrong side) of material to be bonded.
2. Place and hold iron on paper side of adhesive for 2 seconds. Repeat by gliding iron to new area and pressing, slightly overlapping previous area until entire surface is bonded.  Allow material to cool. 
3. Cut to desired size or shape (if necessary).  Peel off paper backing.
4. Place material, adhesive side down, in desired position on top of project.  Press & hold iron for 8-10 seconds on each section until entire entire piece is bonded.

(Ironing time may vary for heavier or layered items.)

Directions for HeatnBond Ultrahold Tape Rolls

 

NOTE: Before using HeatnBond UltraHold, always PRE-WASH all materials WITHOUT using fabric softeners (in washer or dryer). Always pre-test adhesive on materials.

1. Pre-heat iron to low heat setting without steam. 
2. Place adhesive, paper side up on the back (otherwise known as the wrong side) of material.  Press and hold iron on paper side of adhesive lightly for 2 seconds. Slide iron to new area and repeat until entire surface is bonded.
3. Allow material to cool.  Peel off paper backing.
4. Place material adhesive side down in desired position on top of project.  Press & hold iron for 8-10 seconds on each section until entire piece is bonded.

Directions for HeatnBond Ultrahold Quilter's Edge Tape Rolls

 

Note:  Before working with Quilter's Edge UltraHold, always PRE-WASH all fabrics without fabric softeners and pre-test on a piece of material you will be using.

Pre-heat dry iron to the silk setting.  Place Quilter's Edge UltaHold on right side of fabric along seam edge.  Glide iron across paper side of Quilter's Edge UltraHold for 1-2 seconds.  Allow material to cool, then peel off paper backing.  Adhesive should appear milky in color.  Shiny, clear adhesive is a sign of overheating.

1. Place other piece of fabric right side down in desired position, aligning and matching edges.  Glide iron across seam for 4-6 seconds.  Remove iron and apply pressure to the seam with hands or ruler.  If insufficient bond should occur:  reapply heat for 3 seconds.
2. Before finishing seams, allow fabrics to cool.  Then fold back top layer of fabric and finger-press seam.  Then press seam with iron.  (When joining seams, make sure seams are pressed in opposite directions.)
