Directions for Interfacing
Fusible Interfacing
NOTE: Before using Fusible Interfacing, always PRE-WASH all materials WITHOUT using fabric softeners (in washer or dryer). Always pre-test interfacing on materials.
- Pre-heat iron to medium heat setting with steam.
- Cut Fusible Interfacing to the shape and size needed for pattern. Cut away seam allowances if needed.
- Place the rough side of the Fusible Interfacing onto the back (also known as the wrong side) of material to be bonded.
- Cover with a lightweight, dry pressing cloth. Press and hold iron with medium pressure for 10-15 seconds. Repeat by lifting iron to new area and pressing, slightly overlapping previous area until entire surface is bonded.
- Allow pieces to cool then check the seams for proper adhesion. Iron again if needed.
- Sew as needed per project instructions.
